What this involves.

A roof leak leaves two problems, and only one of them is on the roof. The other is the brown ring on a ceiling, or the seam that has swollen and let go, or the section that has to come out because it stayed wet long enough to matter.

Fixing the roof and leaving the ceiling is a strange place to stop, so we do not stop there. Texture is the part that decides whether a patch disappears or announces itself, so it gets matched before it gets painted.

How It Works

The inspection

We get on the roof and photograph what is up there. If it will not carry a claim, that is where this stops, and it has still cost you nothing.

The claim

If it is worth filing, you call your carrier, because it is your policy and they will only talk to you. We put the photographs, the measurements and the scope into the form an adjuster expects.

The adjuster

When the adjuster walks the roof we are there to answer the scope questions and hand over the estimate, so the damage gets counted once instead of argued about after the check arrives.

The work

Roof first, then whatever else the claim covers: the gutters, the fence, the garage door, the ceiling the water came through and the paint over it.

Is interior damage covered when the roof leaks?

Interior damage caused by a covered peril is generally part of the same claim. Damage from a leak that has been slowly going on for years is usually not, which is the practical argument for having a roof looked at after a storm rather than after a stain appears.

Can you match my ceiling texture?

Yes. Knockdown and orange peel are what almost every house in these subdivisions has, and both match well when the patch is floated properly first.
