This is on the list for one reason: a repaired ceiling with a bare patch on it is not a finished job. Paint is what makes the water stain stop being something you notice every time you sit down in that room.

It comes up on storm work, where the claim covers the roof, the ceiling underneath and the paint over it, and a homeowner would otherwise be arranging three trades to spend one check.

How It Works

The inspection

We get on the roof and photograph what is up there. If it will not carry a claim, that is where this stops, and it has still cost you nothing.

The claim

If it is worth filing, you call your carrier, because it is your policy and they will only talk to you. We put the photographs, the measurements and the scope into the form an adjuster expects.

The adjuster

When the adjuster walks the roof we are there to answer the scope questions and hand over the estimate, so the damage gets counted once instead of argued about after the check arrives.

The work

Roof first, then whatever else the claim covers: the gutters, the fence, the garage door, the ceiling the water came through and the paint over it.

Do you paint whole houses?

This comes up alongside storm and repair work rather than as a standalone service. If your job is bigger than the repair, say so at the inspection and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.

Will the patch still show once it is painted?

Not if the texture was matched first. A patch that shows through paint is almost always a texture problem rather than a paint problem.
